Gambling everything on there being no afterlife
Mariah Slams "Greedy" BBC

Pop superstar Mariah Carey has snubbed the BBC's Top Of The Pops programme after the show's producers refused to meet the diva's notoriously extravagant dressing room demands. Carey had asked for the BBC building to be painted pink then evacuated, to allow her personal staff of 300 chefs to make her favourite pasta dish. The star also demanded a golden diamond encrusted hat, a vintage traction engine, a team of 50 personal therapists, 1,000 Labrador puppies (to be kept out of sight at all times) and a life-sized ice sculpture of herself, to be wheeled around the studio on a golden trolley pulled by the Queen.

Initial requests for the star to scale down her demands seemed only to inflame the situation. A source told us "we received a fax from her 'people' telling us that Mariah likes everything just-so, and that the slightest thing could upset her performance. Far from scaling down her demands, Carey asked us for everything on the first list, plus two tons of gold, a monkey and a spaceship".
